Glycopyrrolate Injection is an anticholinergic medication. It is used before or even during an operation to reduce secretions and it even reverses the unwanted effects of certain medicines used during surgery (muscle relaxants). It also helps to treat peptic ulcers when oral medication is not tolerated.
Glycopyrrolate Injection is given by your doctor or nurse. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen.
The most common side effects of this medicine include dry mouth, urinary retention, blurred vision, photophobia, dilation of the pupil, cycloplegia, ocular hyperemia, tachycardia, bradycardia, palpitation, and reduced sweating. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness.
